Athletes For Hope recently introduced Tiombé to Quality Trust, an organization that does advocacy work for people with disabilities in the District of Columbia. On June 18th Quality Trust hosted a small clinic called the Sib Shop. The kids that were present all have siblings with disabilities. Since their siblings require extensive attention from family members, they often feel they are put on the back burner. The clinic was a cool way to have a day dedicated just to them, have fun and get involved in sports. Tiombé and two of her track and field friends instructed the kids on how to do different drills and coached them through a friendly competition. Hopefully they left the event with an interest in sports themselves or learned a fun way to engage their siblings and others in sports activities and ways to stay fit.
